Drawing the Findings and Key Learning Points of the Interviews

So far, we have conducted 31 interviews in order to test our hypothesis and lay ground for the survey. The interview format was helpful, as it allowed us more flexibility to go deeper in each question with open answers, as well as to not only adapt our first script to each individual if the interview runs an unpredicted course, but also to ask follow-up questions which were not in the script and might be relevant.

Overall, we can conclude that this process was very helpful to build the survey structure, as well as to better understand our customer’s needs, their pains, understand the way they think, react and feel towards different scenarios. Only having the most knowledge of our customers can we truly adapt our product to their needs.

We are now ready to share the results of the interviews, as well as the key learning points we drew from them.

First, regarding our hypothesis, all were validated except one: “Customers’ security concerns would not prevent them from using fload”. Data protection is a crucial factor and further content can be found in our interviews’ findings.

Second, our interviewees: who are they?

  • Age range between 18 and 62 years old.

  • 68% have less than 27 years of age.

  • 48% are from Portugal and 52% are from Germany.

  • 58% have a Bachelor degree and 35% have a Master degree.

  • 97% use a smartphone every day.

  • 74% organize their own documents.

  • 77% consider their documents to be well organized, whereas 23% consider it messy.
